Welcome to the Catholic Veterans of Nevada Charity Foundation. We are a nonprofit (EIN 45-1551433), faith-based organization dedicated to serving those who have served our nation. Our mission is rooted in compassion, gratitude, and the Catholic tradition of caring for others.
For many veterans and their families, life after service brings challenges—whether physical, emotional, or financial. We believe no one who has sacrificed for our country should ever feel forgotten. That is why our foundation provides assistance, recognition, and a community of support for Catholic veterans and their loved ones.
What We Stand For
Faith: Guided by Catholic values of love, service, and compassion.
Service: Extending a hand to those who have dedicated their lives to protecting freedom.
Community: Building connections that bring veterans, families, and neighbors together.
Our Commitment
Through programs that provide direct aid, hospital visits, memorial support, and scholarships for the next generation, we ensure that the sacrifices of veterans are never overlooked. Every initiative is designed to honor their legacy and to strengthen the bond between faith and service.
Who We Are
The Catholic Veterans of Nevada Charity Foundation was established under the sponsorship of Catholic War Veterans, Post 1947 – Our Lady of Peace, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Recognized as a nonprofit, faith-based organization, our foundation exists to carry forward a legacy of service by providing support to Catholic veterans, active-duty members of the Armed Forces, and their families.
Our Story
Our foundation was born from the belief that those who have served our country should never feel abandoned in times of hardship. Veterans often face unique struggles—disabilities, financial instability, or the challenges of adjusting to civilian life. With this reality in mind, our founders created a charity dedicated to easing these burdens through compassion, fellowship, and faith.
Our Purpose
To provide assistance to disabled or impoverished veterans and their dependents.
To offer comfort and recreational support to hospitalized veterans and service members.
To honor and remember those who have passed, and to console their families.
To promote charitable, educational, religious, scientific, and literary activities.
To invest in the future through programs such as the Father Vincent R. Capodanno Junior ROTC Scholarship, inspiring the next generation of servant leaders.
Core Values
Faith: Rooted in Catholic tradition, guiding every act of service with compassion and integrity.
Service: Extending tangible aid and spiritual comfort to those who have sacrificed for freedom.
Community: Building lasting bonds among veterans, families, and neighbors, strengthening both faith and society.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow, the Catholic Veterans of Nevada Charity Foundation remains steadfast in its vision: to be a beacon of hope for veterans and their families, ensuring that their sacrifices are honored and their needs are met with dignity.
